Why is it that you switch between projects continuously? Why is it that you procrastinate and don’t reach your potential? Why is it that you are always super busy but not really growing??

We’re going to tell you how to stop getting distracted and what we’re going to tell you will make huge impact in your business.

The most important things are often the hardest to do

The things that move the needle in business are tough, they are unknown, and they’re kinda scary because you don’t know if it’ll work and if it’s the right decision for your business.

As human beings, we’re all afraid of the unknown (it’s why  horror movies are always scary up until the reveal of the monster – and then all of a sudden it isn’t as scary anymore 👹)

Well it’s the same in business. As a small business owner, on a day to day basis you have so many unknowns and big decisions to make, and rather than face those decisions and be decisive and take action we tend to do everything in our power to avoid putting our necks on the line.

You see, procrastination is just a fear of failure.

And all the things that will move the needle in your business, are petrifying!

💰Raising your prices

☎️ Making a sales call

🙏 Pitching to be on podcast or stage

💻 Doing a webinar

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Outsourcing

All these things are completely new to you, and each one comes with its own set of risks and unknowns.

Why do we procrastinate?

For example, you know that right now there is a hot prospect that you could call up and close the sale. Most people do.

But when you see that on your to do list, it’s awkward, it’s tough. What if they say no or ask a difficult question? Instead, I’ll just do an Instagram story. I’ll do it after lunch, oh I don’t feel 100%, I’ll do it tomorrow.

We procrastinate on the things that are unknown and that scare us 😱

The doubts creep in and the moment that happens we allow ourselves to get distracted by all the shiny objects.

We tell ourselves that this new thing is the magic bullet, the answer to our problems, the faster way to success, but all it’s doing is taking you away from that one thing you should really be doing.

The hustle versus being effective

The more you allow the fear of failure to creep in, the more you’ll get distracted and although it looks like you’re doing a lot, you’re not achieving a lot, you’re just making yourself a busy fool and justifying it as working hard or hustling.

Being productive or hustling all hours of the day doesn’t mean you’re being effective.

It’s an illusion so that if your friend, partner or business colleague asks, you’ve been really busy today.

It’s a hard pill to swallow and fortunately we have each other to catch ourselves out on this.

Which is why we felt we had to do this video.

And sometimes we feel like have to act all hard and tough and like there’s nothing we’re afraid of, but we all have fears, even if we don’t realise they’re holding us back.

So what’s the answer?

Well, we do have an answer to this, but it’s wayyyy too long for a five minute video… So what we’d love you to do is actually come and watch our opening talk we gave at ATOMICON19, our conference.

It breaks down exactly how to overcome these fears to actually be able to do the things that will move the needle in your business.

If you can’t follow through because you’re being held back, and you want to conquer your fears to be able to make massive shifts in your business then we implore you to come and watch our talk… for free!
